In en om Breda heb je een 20-tal Bed & Breakfasts, ideaal voor mensen die liever niet in hotel slapen en niet houden van kamperen. Een het voordeel van een Bed & Breakfast is dat je vaak over een keukentje beschikt waar je zelf iets kleins kunt klaarmaken of opwarmen.

Slapen in een voormalige zeepfabriek. Klinkt leuk toch? In Breda is het mogelijk en wel B&B Het Zeepfabriekje. Als gast logeer je in de tuin van een historisch pandje uit 1894. Niet midden in het centrum, maar wel vlakbij het station van Breda en in de buurt van het mooie stadspark Valkenberg waar het vooral in de zomer heerlijk vertoeven is zoals op dinsdagavond tijdens Palm Parkies Breda. Of gewoon in de tuin van het huisje zelf. Het centrum ligt op 15 minuten wandelen. Het Zeepfabriekje is geschikt voor max 4 personen. Je kunt er niet uitgebreid koken, wel een maaltijd opwarmen. Ontbijt is inbegrepen.

Slapen in de PC Hooftstraat van Breda

Shoppen, eten en uiteindelijk slapen kun je bij Block 62 aan de Ginnekenweg, een unieke straat in Breda waar je veel historische gebouwen terugvindt. Hier kun je nog shoppen in unieke, kleine winkeltjes waar vaak de eigenaren zelf in de winkel staan. Op zich biedt het Ginneken al genoeg vertier om je een paar uur of een dag te vermaken. De straat wordt ook wel de PC Hooftstraat van Breda genoemd. Block 62 biedt twee ruime en-suite kamers op de 1e verdieping. De ene kamer geeft uitzicht op het terras van het restaurant, in de andere kamer kijk je uit op de Ginnekenweg. Parkeren kan gratis voor de deur. Sportievelingen kunnen gebruik maken van fietsen.

Stadslogement Breda ademt rust en geschiedenis uit (het herenhuis dateert uit 1900) door de ligging aan het Wilhelminapark, maar het hart van het centrum is slechts 400 meter verder. De twee gastenkamers, Loft en Vide, zijn voorzien van alle gemakken. De Loft bevindt zich op de derde verdieping en biedt zicht over Breda en het park. Je kunt er makkelijk koken op de modern ingerichte open keuken en ontbijten, lunchen of dineren op het dakterras. De Vide ligt op de eerste en tweede verdieping. Via een vaste trap in de woonkamer kom je boven in de slaapkamer. Ook deze kamer is voorzien van een keuken met alle faciliteiten. Deze kamer is iets groter en biedt ruimte aan max drie personen (een tweepersoonsbed en een slaapbank). Ook kun je, in overleg met de eigenaren, twee fietsen lenen.

Slapen in de natuur

Stille genieters en natuurliefhebbers halen hun hart op aan Vakantiehuisje Prinsenbeek. De eigenaren hebben het huisje, gelegen in hun grote achtertuin, zelf ontworpen en gebouwd. Prinsenbeek ligt op zo’n 6 kilometer fietsen van het centrum van Breda en Etten-Leur. Vanaf het vakantiehuisje kun je meerdere fietstochten maken. In het huisje kun je niet koken, wel een maaltijd opwarmen of barbecuen. Er staan twee losse bedden die je ook makkelijk tegen elkaar aanschuift. Bij mooi weer is het heerlijk vertoeven onder het afdak en als je geluk hebt zie je een eekhoorn voorbij springen. ‘s Avonds zie je vleermuizen vliegen.
